August 27, 2013 – Supreme Group, a global leader in the provision of end-to-end supply chain solutions in challenging environments around the world, has sponsored the sixth annual Paralyzed Veterans Golf Open (PVGO) event, held recently at the Trump National Golf Club, Washington D.C.
Sponsors, veterans and leaders from business, government and the armed services took to the fairways to raise more than USD 363,000 for Paralyzed Veterans of America’s vocational rehabilitation services program, Operation PAVE (Paving Access for Veterans Employment), which aims to end high unemployment for veterans with disabilities. Since its inception in 2008, the annual PVGO has raised more than USD 1.8 million for Operation PAVE, which went towards opening new vocational rehabilitation centers around the United States. To date, the program has secured careers for around 500 veterans, and partnered with more than 450 employers.
“It was a fantastic day and a great opportunity to spend time with some inspirational heroes who have served our country,” said David Roman, Supreme’s Manager for Professional Associations. “We believe in supporting our clients at all times and in all places. This means our partnership with the US Military extends to US soldiers even after their uniformed service is completed. In addition to Operation PAVE, we support several veterans groups and charitable organizations and we contribute to numerous charity events through our associations,” he concluded.
Supreme Group was a Benefactor Sponsor of the PVGO event. Supreme Group operates in more than 20 countries in support of many of the world’s leading organizations, governments and diplomatic missions. Today, its legacy of proven and trusted performance in challenging environments spans more than fifty years; covering 30 nations across five continents.
